SCRAPBOOKING GLOBAL BLOG HOP - September 2023 "mode of transport"
Hello stampers!
Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for September 2023 where we are being challenged to feature a mode of transport in our layout. I had a few options for photos for this theme - but I ended up choosing some fun photos from a day at a miniature railway! I hope that you are inspired to also try using a grid on your next layout! You might have hopped over from Jill's blog - did you see her awesome layout?! If you missed it, head over there now... if you're still on the hop, there's a list at the bottom of this post to help you visit everyone else.
Scrapbooking Global is a Facebook group especially for scrappers who use Stampin' Up! products. It's a great place to visit for some scrapping inspiration, and everyone is so supportive of each other. If this sounds like you, please drop by for a visit and see for yourself :)
This month we are featuring modes of transport in our layouts.
The challenge this month was set by Sharon Dalton - thanks for the inspiration!
This was such a fun layout to play around with, using Designer Series Paper from the Countryside Inn and Inked Botanicals packs. The fun stars are from the Beautiful Balloons dies, and those fireworks are from the Stars At Night stamp set that is currently available from the Christmas mini catalogue! I hope you'll find this inspiring - that sets that are focused on birthdays or Christmas can be used for so much more!
My tip for doing a layout like this is to choose some Designer Series Paper that works with your photos, take out the matching inks and just start cutting and inking - see what transpires. If you don't like it - flip it over and start again! It's just paper ... plus this hobby should make a mess not stress!
My original plan for this layout was very different, but I really love how it has come out!
Thank you so much for visiting me today - but now it's time to hop on over to the next blog and see how another crafters have interpreted the grid challenge this month!
Happy crafting!
Lauren
You are so brilliant!! I loooooove the stars at night stamps for fireworks - such a brilliant idea. And I love all the star die cuts and the paper flags - this page is wonderful.
